Frequently asked questions about Funds Transfer

Can I schedule a Funds Transfer to an external (non-SECU) bank account?

No, our Funds Transfer service is only available to SECU accounts. Members can send funds from their Checking, Share, Money Market Share, or CashPoints® Global Accounts to an external account through a Wire Transfer.

What happens if a transfer effective date is on a weekend or an observed holiday?

Transfers will process on the business day before a weekend or holiday.

Are there any associated costs with Funds Transfer?

No, our Funds Transfer service is free.

What if there aren’t enough available funds in my account to complete a scheduled funds transfer?

The Funds Transfer system continues to attempt to make the transfer every business day for a fixed number of days.
