Why is Clocky better than a Smartphone alarm?

A recent study found that 1 in 4 people who use their Smartphone alarm oversleep! Smartphones make it so easy to hit snooze or even turn off the alarm before you get up. Clocky ensures even the heaviest sleepers get up on time with it's loud alarm and because he forces you out of bed! Moreover, the process of finding Clocky wakes you up and leaves you energized.

How does Clocky jump and run?

You can choose to turn on Clocky's wheels so that when the alarm sounds, he will leap from your nightstand and run around randomly around your bedroom. Or you can set Clocky to stay put and use like a regular alarm.

Can I snooze Clocky and use like a regular alarm clock?

Yes! You can snooze one time if you choose. Or you can disable snooze completely. Clocky will only run away after you snooze (if you have turned snooze on). Limiting the number of snoozes will prevent the drowsiness caused by repeated snoozing. You can set Clocky to stay put and use like a regular alarm clock.

Is Clocky good for Heavy Sleepers?

Clocky is great for all ages- students and adults who need to get up on time for school or work. He is designed with all types of sleepers in mind, even the heaviest deep sleepers.

Is this the original Clocky?

Yes! There is only one original Clocky and this is it, invented out of the top engineering school, MIT. Refrain from buying knockoffs which may look like the real thing. They will not work!

Setting up Clocky

Use new batteries: Use only new Duracell Lithium batteries, because of size variations with other brands. We do not recommend Alkaline batteries.

How do I turn Clocky on?

To reset your Clocky, follow these steps:

Use new batteries: Only use new lithium batteries with your Clocky. It is best to use Duracell Lithium batteries because of size variations with other brands. We do not recommend Alkaline batteries.

Check Polarity: Make sure the batteries are inserted with the correct polarity. Clocky's polarity is different from other devices. You may try removing and re-inserting the batteries.

Check battery door: Ensure that the battery door is screwed on tightly.

Try Demo mode: Press the A and T buttons on the top simultaneously to operate the test mode. The wheels will start to move.

How do I ensure Clocky doesn't reset?

To ensure that Clocky's display does not reset:

Use new batteries: Instead of Alkaline batteries, it is best to use Duracell Lithium batteries because of size variations with other brands.

Check battery door: Ensure that the battery door is screwed on tightly.

Try Demo mode:Test the movement (and let Clocky run off your nightstand) by using demo mode. Press the A and T buttons on the top simultaneously to operate the test mode. The wheels will start to move.

How do I get Clocky to move?

Set up Alarm time: First, set the alarm time by pressing the 'a' button. Make sure that the alarm is turned on using the button on Clocky's face. You can confirm it is on by looking for the corresponding icon on the display. Note that by default, Clocky uses a 12-hour (AM / PM) display.

Turn on Wheels: Make sure the wheels button is turned on. When turned on, you will see a wheel icon on the display.

Check Snooze Time: Check the snooze time by pressing the 'a' button twice rapidly. If it is set to 0, then your Clocky will run as soon as the alarm sounds (no snoozing allowed!). If it is set to 1-9, you can snooze one time for 1-9 minutes. Your Clocky will not move until after you have pressed snooze once and those minutes have passed.

Try Demo mode: Press the A and T buttons simultaneously to operate demo mode. The wheels will move.

Can I demo Clocky?

It is best to use new Duracell Lithium batteries because of size variations with other brands. You can see Clocky run quickly by testing demo mode. Press A + T buttons at the same time and the wheels will move. Press any button to stop demo mode.

Can I snooze Clocky?

Important! Make sure that the wheels button is turned on if you want Clocky to move. When turned on, a wheel icon will appear on the display.

Are Clocky's wheels supposed to be loose?

Clocky’s wheels should be loose! They are engineered that way so that there is give when the unit falls to the floor.

Can I change Clocky from a 12 to a 24-hour clock?

Clocky can be set to display your time in either the 24-hour mode or the 12-hour mode. To set your Clocky to the 24-hour mode, press and hold the T button for 3 seconds. If you are currently in 12-hour mode and the current time is in PM hours, then the screen will change to the corresponding 24-hour time.

If you are in the 12-hour mode and your clock is set to one of the AM hours, you will not see a change when you switch into 24-hour mode.

We ship your Clocky within 1-3 days depending on the shipping option you choose on checkout! For orders outside the US, it can take 2-3 weeks.
